Sarah (Markman) Friedman, 101, of West Hartford, died July 21. She was the widow of I. Edward Friedman. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Sophie Markman. She was a member of Beth El Temple. She is survived by her children, Matthew L. Friedman of West Hartford, and Sue F. Torres of West Hartford; her grandchildren, Aaron Torres and Gloria Torres; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Ethel Corash, Grace Markman and Rose Adelson.
