Evelyn (Bursten) Gilman, 93, died Nov. 28. She was the widow of Irving L. Gilman. Born in Chicago, Ill. and raised in Colchester, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Rose (Kass) Bursten. She was a long-time member of Congregation Beth Israel. She is survived by her children, Jill Mass and her husband Martin of South Glastonbury, and Howard Gilman and his wife Linda of Jersey City, N.J.; her grandchildren, Noah Mass and his wife Nicole, Gabriel Mass, Isaac Gilman, Joshua Gilman, and Jennie Gilman; and her great-granddaughter Sophia Mass. She was also predeceased by her sister Gladys Zatzkis.
