UConn Hillel goes to Washington

The University of Connecticut Hillel sent a sizable contingent of students to the AIPAC Policy Conference held in Washington D.C. last month, where the future Jewish community leaders listened to the likes of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman talk about the unshakable alliance between Israel and the U.S. On the final day of the conference, students had the opportunity to meet with members of Connecticut’s congressional delegation (including Sen. Richard Blumenthal, pictured here with the UConn students) about the need for strong American support of the Jewish state.
