Daniel N. Hoffnung, 71, of New Haven, Conn., died June 26 with his wife Sarah Deb Eldrich and his sons by his side. He was the son of the late Peninah and Abraham Hoffnung. He is survived by his sons, Alex (Pattie Small) and Nick (Stephanie Schinella); three grandchildren, Ben, Hannah and Lily; a brother, Rob Hoffnung (Marsha Beller); a sister, Michele Hoffnung (John Faragher); sisters and brothers in-law, Joan and Ken Levy and John and Civia Eldrich; and many loving nieces and nephews.
