Elsie Miller (Kaplan), 87, of Bloomfield, CT., formerly of Silver Springs, MD and the Bronx, NY, died June 18. She was the wife of Alvin Miller. Born in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Edith (Oni) Kaplan. She was a long time member of the former Tephereth Israel Synagogue of Bloomfield. In addition to her husband Alvin, she is survived by her children: Steven Miller and his partner Kimberly Churchill, Aliza Castro and her husband Philip; her grandchildren, Jacob Miller, Benjamin Castro, Joshua Castro and Jasmine Castro; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Harriet Mutnick.
