Worcester B’nai B’rith Cemetery expands

In recent years the B’nai B’rith Cemetery Corporation of Worcester has received an increased number of inquiries regarding the changing demographics of the Jewish community and requests to accommodate our community’s changing needs. Our Board of Directors listened to the comments, interviewed the leadership of other Jewish cemeteries, talked to rabbis and scholars, and debated how to accommodate present-day needs while still maintaining and respecting our Jewish history, rituals, and traditional values.

Therefore, after much discussion, B’nai B’rith Commonwealth Lodge 600 and the B’nai B’rith Cemetery Corporation have established a new section at B’nai B’rith Cemetery to meet the burial needs of Jewish individuals and their non-Jewish family members.

At the same time, the original section of the Cemetery will remain unchanged with future burials following the same traditional Jewish rules and rituals which have been maintained for the past 100 years.
