Bringing back-to-school goodies to kids in need

Residents and staff of Hoffman SummerWood, a senior living community and service of Hebrew Senior Care in West Hartford, conducted their third annual school supply drive to benefit an inner-city Hartford school. SummerWood’s Manager of Operations Karen Mudgett (far left), again headed up the effort and rallied all to consider purchasing needed items or to make a monetary donation. Mudgett, along with SummerWood residents (l to r) Kayleen Goldstein, Rhoda Ferber and Ebner Glooskin, delivered the supplies to the school. “The students were very appreciative of our effort – and the residents are so happy to help the kids get their school year off to a good start,”  said Mudgett.
