12 Greenwich teens win Jewish philanthropy award

GREENWICH – Twelve members of Greenwich High School’s Israel Club have been named recipients of the Weitzman Youth Award for Jewish Philanthropy.  The students will receive their awards at the UJA Federation of Greenwich’s Annual Gala on Saturday, Dec. 3.  The Weitzman award is presented to students who exhibit innovation, creativity and dedication to Jewish philanthropy.
The students, who are being honored for their commitment to philanthropy, community service and Israel, include : Joshua Genn, Isa Goldberg, Connor Hegarty, Julia Jandrisits, Jonathan Kerbs, Jonathan Muhlrad, Graham Perry, Douglas Saper, Robert Saper, Samuel Savitz, Jacob Segal and Michelle Socher.
The Weitzman Youth Award for Jewish Philanthropy was founded by and is managed by Jane and Stuart Weitzman to inspire the next generation to engage in Jewish philanthropy.
