Democrats honor Barbara Rifkin of Fairfield

FAIRFIELD – Barbara Rifkin of Fairfield has been awarded the Eunice Postol Community Service Award by the Fairfield Democratic Town Committee.  Rifkin was presented with her award at the Committee’s 2011 Century Club Brunch on Sunday, April 10 at the Patterson Club in Fairfield.
The award is given annually to a Democrat who over the past years has exemplified undying dedication to community service. Rifkin has served on many town committees, including the Board of Education. She currently serves on the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Among those on hand at the brunch to honor Rifkin and other awardees were Senator Richard Blumenthal, Congressman Jim Himes, Governor Dannell Malloy, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, and Congressman Chris Murphy.
