Christians flock to Israel

(JNS.org) More than half of the tourists visiting Israel are Christian, according to a recent poll by the country’s tourism ministry.

58% of tourists visiting Israel in 2011 were Christian

25% of tourists were Jewish

1% of tourists were Muslim

61% of total tourists were first-time visitors.

82% of returning tourists were Jewish (and 80% of those came to visit family or friends.)
