Ann Baidack Pava of West Hartford has been selected by the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) as the new chair-designate of National Women’s Philanthropy, it was announced by Cathrine Schwartz, president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford.
Pava is currently the 2013 Women’s Philanthropy chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford. She is also honorary chair and founding president of the Hebrew High School of New England, located in West Hartford, and a past president of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts.
Nationally, Pava currently serves as the JFNA’s vice chair for education and leadership development. A National Women’s Philanthropy Board member since 2007, she is renowned for her ability to teach, inspire and mentor other women. “Ann continues a long-standing Hartford tradition of providing national leadership,” said Schwartz in making the announcement. “Our community is extremely proud that Ann was selected and we feel her appointment will bring great energy and excitement to the post and to our Federation.”
According to the JFNA, donations from women represent the fastest growing component of the annual campaign in the Federation system.
