Susan Kane Alter, 72, of West Hartford, died August 28. She was the wife of Dr. Elliott Alter. She was the daughter of Joseph and Lillian Kane. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Catherine and her husband Karl, and David and his wife Abby; her grandchildren, Sophie, Jozie and Leo; and her sister, Hava Kane Dunn.
