“Bubbe Selma” turns 90

Today, Maisel continues to be a positive force in the community, serving as an honorary grandmother to the approximately 2,000 “graduates” of the nursery school that carries her name.

At the birthday bash, each class sang songs for Bubbe Selma and then presented her with handmade birthday cards. Before blowing out the candles on her beautifully decorated cake, the preschoolers delighted Bubbe Selma with a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday” – sung in both English and Hebrew.
