GOLD

Louis Gold, 91, of Avon, has died. He was the husband of Hedda Edelson Gold for 55 years. Born in New York City, he was the son of David and Ethel Gold. He was a graduate of Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European theater. He retired in his 70’s after working in the garment industry. He owned his own dress company, Kerry Dress, and later worked for Leslie Fay and R&K Originals. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Laura Becker and her husband, Brian, of West Hartford; two grandsons, Casey and Cary Becker; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Cherie Block and Lily Gold. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. HEBREW FUNERAL ASSOCIATION
