Ruth Shiffrin Blum, 92, of New Haven died March 24. She was the widow of Manuel Shiffrin and Dr. Samuel Blum. Born in Ansonia, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Yetta (Pritzker) Gimple. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Blum and his wife Karen of Boston, Mass., Richard Shiffrin and Roberta Blum, both of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Jill (Rockwell) Shiffrin Hammond of Fall City, Wash.; her grandchildren, Harrison and Morgan Blum, and Madison Shiffrin Hammond; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
