Giving Thanks

Recently, residents and staff of Hoffman SummerWood Community in West Hartford showed their appreciation for those who provide them with services all year round by delivering lunch – accompanied by lots of balloons and cards – to the men and women of their local fire department, police department and ambulance service. Not to be left out were US mail, UPS and pharmacy delivery personnel, who were surprised with the same lunch and good cheer when they visited SummerWood in the course of performing their regular duties. Pictured here at the West Hartford Fire Department are: (l to r) Lt. Adam Pacheco, SummerWood residents Hannah Wiener, Miriam Singer, Millie Chase and Lillian Hillman; Firefighter Brandon Bohan; Firefighter Matt Hebert; residents Gene Ferstenberg and Barbara Luchs; Apparatus Operator Scott Fredsbo; and resident Sydney Fischler.
