5K Color Run delivers “Unity in Our Community”

More than 200 runners enjoyed a beautiful, warm spring afternoon — and a shower of brightly colored powder — as they took part in the Hebrew High School of New England (HHNE) second annual 5K Unity Color Run on Wednesday, June 1. HHNE junior Benjamin Snyder, was awarded first place in the popular run, whose theme was “Unity in Our Community.”

“Today, more than ever, we need to create a sense of unity that ethnic, religious and social diversity brings to our community,” said Karen Goldberg, event chairperson, at a reception in the school’s gym following the event. “We are building bridges by providing people the opportunity to connect and come together. We are excited to continue to accomplish this goal with the HHNE 5K Unity Color Run.”
