WEINROTH

Harry Weinroth, 91, of Stamford, died Jan. 22. He was the husband of Luba Kerschenblat. Born in Sosnowiec, Poland, he was the son of Leizor (Wajnrot) Weinroth and Sala Rachia Wilczyk. He was a Holocaust survivor who spent nearly six years in a total of 18 Nazi concentration and death camps. His parents and his four younger siblings were murdered by the Nazis when all of the Jews in his hometown were systematically exterminated. He was liberated from Dachau concentration camp by the U.S. Army in April 1945. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Larry Weinroth and his wife Hillary of Stamford, Ruth Adatto and her husband Jerry of Stamford, and Seth Weinroth and his wife Dina Gardner-Weinroth of Southborough, Mass.; his grandchildren, Derek Weinroth, Marc Weinroth, Jake Weinroth and Nicole Weinroth. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Sofi and Frieda, and his brothers, Srulek, Alek and Josel.
