PURIM Around Connecticut!

The spirit of Purim ran rampant throughout the state, with lots of costumes and carnivals and, of course, hamantaschen!

In Bloomfield…

At the Bess & Paul Sigel Hebrew Academy (HAGH), faculty members – including (l to r) science teacher George Goad, HAGH principal Rabbi Zev Silver, and dressed up to entertain students Judaic studies teacher Rabbi Moshe Chaim Lustig – dressed up to entertaining the Hebrew Academy children on Purim.

In Trumbull…

Preschoolers at Congregation B’nai Torah Nursery School modeled their own hand-made Purim masks.

In Stamford…

“Our Purim Carnival was a blast!” says BCDS Head of School Jackie Herman, who dressed up like a snack that melts in your mouth, not in your hand and partied away with Rachel Haron, who, when she isn’t clowing around, serves as BCDS associate principal for general studies.

In New Haven…

Megillah reading at Beth El Keser Israel (BEKI) included a live band, lots of industrial-size groggers, and some pretty scary costumes to drown out the name of the evil Haman.
