lan P. Towbin, 89, of Bethany, died May 29. He was the husband of Linda (Goldstein) Towbin. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late George and Edith Towbin (later Freifeld). He was a member of Congregation Or Shalom. He is survived by his children, Andrew Towbin of Boca Raton, Fla., Dina Towbin of Washington, D.C. and Lima, Peru, Jessica Towbin of Seattle, Wash., and Sephrah Towbin and her husband Bill Riley of Brooklyn, N.Y.; his grandchildren, George, James, Joseph, Julie, Ethan, Max and Izabell; his great-granson Riley; and his former wife Carol Towbin.
