Bernard G. (Tim) Gershman, 93, of New Haven, died May 27. He was the husband of Ruth Gershman. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Harold Gershman and Ida (Gronhilski) Gershman. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Missouri during the signing of the peace treaty between Japan and the United States. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ronald Gershman and his wife Pamela, and Lee Gershman; his brother Alexander (Alec) Gershman and his wife Shirlee; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Albert Gershman and Morris Gershman; and his sisters, Anne Brownstein, Pearl Kurhan, Lilyan Levine, and Ruth Most and their respective spouses.
