ANDREW J. ROSENSTEIN, son of Ilena and Michael Rosenstein of South Windsor, received the degree of D.M.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine on Monday, May 13 at the CT Convention Center.

Rosenstein completed his undergraduate studies at UConn. He is the recipient of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Certificate of Merit and the Horace Wells Senior Student Award from the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He was also was selected by the Connecticut Coalition for Oral Health as the winner of their  video contest to  increase oral health awareness.  The video was used in public service announcements during National Children’s Dental Health Month in February.  He was presented with his award at the Connecticut Oral Health Initiative meeting in December.

His grandparents are Adeline Solomon of Bloomfield, and Joyce and Jerry Rosenstein of West Hartford.

He begins his pediatric residency in June at the UConn Health Center and the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
