Government shutdown may affect military aid to Israel

(JNS.org) The ongoing U.S. government shutdown may affect the status of military aid to Israel, State Department deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf told reporters on Wednesday, Oct. 2. “The State Department’s ability to provide military assistance to Israel and other allies in the time frame that is expected and customary could be hindered, depending on the length of the shutdown,” Harf said.
