A Harvest of Latkes

ssds potato ecIsraeli Young Emissary Tal Inbar drew upon his experience growing up on the Ram-On agricultural settlement in northern Israel, to help students at Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford (SSDS) plant a potato garden on school grounds one recent September afternoon. The students will harvest the potatoes in December, which they will then use to whip up a big batch of Chanukah latkes. Here, Tal explains the fine art of potato planting to SSDS preschoolers.
