Alexander Levy, 86, of Juno Beach, Fla., formerly of Bloomfield, died Jan. 25. He was the husband of Sherry Levy for 54 years. He was born in New York City on April 6, 1928, and attended New York University, where he obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in aeronautical engineering. He was a long-time employee of United Technologies International Fuel Cell division in South Windsor and retired to Florida in 1991. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jane Hamilton and her husband, William, of Carlisle, Mass.; a son, Richard Levy and his wife, Bonnie Mayer, of Cheshire; three grandchildren, Madeline and Andrew Levy and Maya Hamilton. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
