Letters to the Ledger Opinion

Interview with Joel Grey stirs up memories

I enjoyed your “Conversation with Joel Grey.” (Ledger, Jan. 29, 2016). I remember his dad, Mickey Katz, was the entertainment at the celebration of my brother Jack’s bar mitzvah at Temple Beth Sholom in Manchester, circa 1943. I was 16 years old at the time and very much appreciative of his wonderful Jewish humor. Having had three daughters before the birth of my brother, I feel my dad spared no expense in the celebration of his only son’s bar mitzvah.
