AUTHOR’S CORNER: Trumbull author pens debut novel

A Nest of Snakes is the recently released debut novel by award-winning author Deborah Levison of Trumbull. Levison is also the author of the nonfiction book The Crate: A Story of War, a Murder and Justice.

Part thriller, part courtroom drama, A Nest of Snakes is loosely based on real events in which adult men accused elite New England private schools of abuse. Early reviewers call it “haunting,” “heartbreaking,” “filled with twists and turns and raw emotion.”

Released Oct. 11 on Amazon, A Nest of Snakes focuses on the story of adult men who came forward to accuse elite New England private schools of physical and sexual abuse dating back to the 1980s. Many of its themes—dredging up painful memories, childhood traumas that scar us for life.
