Curtain up for Hebrew High students

The Hebrew High School of New England (HHNE) Student-Directed Drama Club will present the play “Suite Surrender” on Thursday, May 21, 7 p.m. at the Mandell JCC in West Hartford.

Written by Michael McKeever, the show is directed by HHNE senior Nathan Schachter, who formed the club three years ago to give students the opportunity to stage produce and stage a show completely on their own.

“’Suite Surrender’ tells the story of two of Hollywood’s biggest feuding divas who are unknowingly put in the same hotel suite for a benefit concert,” explains Schachter. “Mistaken identities, overblown egos, and double entendres make this a hilarious tribute to the classic farces of the ’30s and ’40s.”

Tickets are $12/adults, $10/students. Tickets are available at the door or by visiting hhne.org.
